Not gonna lie, I was close to tearing up when he was done. Damn good speech, and I hope that being his last term (I refuse to even entertain the idea that he won't get his second), he'll just go balls to the wall because he's got nothing to lose.

I'm proud that he won, and yes, I think he deserved it. When I woke up Friday morning, I checked Twitter first and just saw the announcement from someone questioning it and before I had read anything else about it, I tweeted: "I can see it. Just DAMN!!!!

So proud. Great speech, great moments, great history in the making. YES. WE. CAN!

And to think it all started for me for real when I heard his speech announcing his candidacy. He never, ever let me down. And I believe he won't.

It was stirring, a lot of pomp and circumstance, but I think it did its job. I certainly felt like it was a true celebration of my great nation. I am unabashedly a proud American, the 4th of July is my favorite holiday, Abraham Lincoln is my personal hero and this celebrated all of those things ( Read more... )
